Hi lovely person! Thank you for popping into About Us section to get to know more about the people behind the beauties you see on the website.

I am a passionate mineral collector from New Zealand. My fascination with minerals started at 8 years old when my mum brought me to my first mineral exhibition. Since then I got the mineral ‘bug’ and started to gather wee specimens I could afford. My parents, who are also passionate about minerals, travelled all over the world, bringing me lovely specimens and building up my collection to enjoy.

Most of my life I have been collecting minerals, however, when I got into my full-time PhD program, I had to start selling specimens from my collection to support myself and my family. I made a Facebook page and shared my posts in the mineral groups. People loved my specimens, their kind words encouraged us to open a wee business, which is more like a life passion than anything else!

With the substantial support from my parents, I am building up Mineral Lagoon to provide you with quality specimens from all over the world. Our goal is to spread the love and appreciation for natural mineral beauties, their form, their combination, their colour and their structure. Minerals are considered to be not alive, however, they form, they grow and each specimen has its own personality. Each specimen is a unique natural art piece with its own aesthetics.
